RE/MAX Heritage
Yes, We Suffer from a Superiority Complex.

By Linda O’Koniewski

Yes, we are the number two agency in Melrose. When we opened in 1995 we were number four and shortly went to number three. We lingered at number three for a while, until we became the number two agency in Melrose last year. It is just a matter of time before we are number one. Why? It sounds cliché, but we do things differently. Much to the chagrin of our competitors we are quickly outpacing them on internet marketing, we have a very different philosophy of marketing and preparing homes for sale, and we ask out sellers cooperation on a host of items so that all of their showings will go well from allowing us to use lockboxes and instructing them on pets, lights and decorating.

We know our architecture and how to best market architectural qualities of historic homes and architecturally significant houses. We know the difference between an arts and crafts bungalow, cape or ranch, a distinction our competitors sometimes struggle with. Even simple items like including the date a home was built or the square footage of a property in the multiple listing service can help a sale, and we are constantly amazed at the lazy brokerage we witness in this market every day. You can’t expect to sell a house with the three P’s. Put a property in the multiple listing service, Place a sign and Pray – it takes technically savvy brokers to reach out to internet buyers and a lot of extra work to attract the out-of-town brokers to the property. If you really want to find out why we are better, don’t ask us, ask our clients who have recently worked with RE/MAX about their experience. We are confident that they will give us a terrific report.
